Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981) (USA)

At a counselor training center neighboring the infamous Camp Blood, a large group of overaged young people are about to run into some fatally bad luck thanks to the impossible to please Jason Voorhees. Seriously, man! They’re not even crashing at the camp where you (maybe) died and you already got revenge on the woman who killed your mama! A must for slasher fans and everyone else can pretty much avoid (unless you like complaining about shit. I know you’re out there. Go ahead. Piss and moan about it). There’s some nice bloody deaths (some lovely Bava mimicry), a likable enough group of horny cannon fodder, a burlap-sack-masked Jason (my favorite look) and my odds-on favorite final girl (Ginny played by the infinitely cute Amy Steel). You’ll love it if 80s slashers are your thing and it stands as one of the best of the series.
