Aakhri Cheekh (1991) (India)

aka The Final Scream

⭐️⭐️

Four lifelong friends/business partners fuck up royally when they stick their noses into the love life of one of the men’s sisters. She’s lucky they did. Turns out her new boyfriend, Rashon, is a black-magic-practicing bastard whose favorite pastime is sacrificing young women to whatever demon god he worships. The men get him arrested and the court decides execution by electrocution is the way to go. Of course, Rashon promises revenge and this is one tall drink of crispy water that keeps his promises. The supernaturally-powered zombie starts knocking off the people responsible for his death and anyone unfortunate enough to know them. The usual holy man shows up to help fight the barely-seen menace as the film drags to its climax. Possessed cars, possessed babes, nightmares, Henry Mancini’s Pink Panther Theme, and a loony climax help to elevate the tedium but this is still a subpar outing from the Ramsay house of horror. The demented subtitles are the best part of this one.
