YouTubers document a road trip through Mississippi, focusing on the abundant haunted locations the state is home to. GPS errors get them on an isolated backroad and a dead car strands them far from any help. Bad news for them, good news for the sinister evil stalking the quartet. It’s found footage so you better believe that opening text let’s us know the authorities are still trying to find these dopes and you can take it to the bank that their camera was discovered and now we have an idea of the unlikely fate that befell ‘em thanks to a bureau agent leaking the footage. Youthful enthusiasm leads to plenty of footage that nobody in their right mind would believe would bring views to a YouTube page and interviews with locals will also have you questioning why anyone would upload this for strangers to watch. A creepy caretaker at their first stop spooks everyone besides the super annoying Lana and warns the four youngsters that bad things are coming because they have visited the property. Camping around some cursed woods further tempts fate. Neckbeards are in abundance, locals perform as one would expect, a conversation about Twilight happens, agitation hits the “friends” as soon as a problem occurs and darkness envelops everything as night falls and we’re finally granted a reprieve from the inane actions of our idiots. There’s some fine looking locations if you’re into forested land and southern heat but there ain’t much else to hold onto. Even the fucking folklore is boring… that just ain’t right.
