Brady is the main character on some lighthearted and cheesy 90’s sitcom. Corny jokes and canned laughter play out as Brady goes through the motions with his girlfriend Becky and the constant hijinks of his goofy buddy Jackson. Easy tv watching is warped when Brady begins to suspect his best buddy and his girlfriend may be having an affair and the simplicity of an eternity in the safe confines of a sitcom life begins sinking into some deeply disturbing waters. With an inspiration from the now essential Too Many Cooks, it runs with the idea of mental illness presented through a lens of cozy Americana. Unlike Cooks this one is a little more reigned in but by no means has it lost any of its bite. Unabashedly unique and definitely the right subject for a short film instead of being stretched into a full length feature which would not have been able to sustain the plot. Worth a look, flaws and all.
