A former marine is kidnapped along with three convicts to be hunted like animals by some rich dudes. Thanks to an opening attack, we know the uncharted island where they’ll be playing the most dangerous game is home to the mythical hydra and it’s already wiped out a few archaeologists. The rich folks have some heartbreak in their pasts and the prey all tie into these tragedies. Justice is one thing but human hunting is still unfortunately frowned upon. Well, it doesn’t matter anyways because the hunters become the hunted and the prey... remains the prey. Pretty damn fun monstrous spin on The Most Dangerous Game features low-quality cgi goodness, Michael Shamus Wiles as a slimy boat captain, a “tight” script with only a few lulls and, of course, Roark Critchlow. Just in case you were worried you’d missed out on an incredible time, you also have the whitest of white-bread heroes and a whole lotta stupidity made necessary by the “tight” script. Above average for this SyFy style of monster shenanigans.
