Craving those ever-elusive YouTube views, a trio of wannabe Internet travel celebrities journey to the mythical (their words, not mine) Moroccan city of Casablanca. As usual, the people don’t seem to like each other much, with the female host attempting to keep some semblance of order and the cameraman being the most annoying of the batch (although, he’s probably the best actor in the damn thing). They dive into the supernatural beliefs of the area and get in way over their heads. They accept an invitation to a family wedding from a guide, sound man Einar has some bad vibes and things get kind of weird. Host Helen gets sick after the weirdo celebration they went to and Einar’s feelings of dread and distrust grow. Helen acts odd thanks to some good old fashioned Djinn possession. Turns out Einar knows a bit more on the subject than expected, Helen has a past with demonic possession and Einar’s intuition shouldn’t be ignored. The two dudes are stuck in their classy Airbnb with a possessed woman and the sinister plans of a couple locals are revealed. Mixing found footage with your standard DTV filmmaking and featuring characters on the other side of likable. Some stuff works, some of it fails and most of it is just kinda awkward. It goes off the rails and gets a bit more enjoyable as it runs headfirst to its close.
