Amazing opening credits lead directly into cheapjack thrills as an Indian village is beset by a malevolent force. A chunky tantric either raises or turns into (no subtitles here, my friends) a fright-wig wearing and rubber-masked zombie monster thing which wanders around breathing loudly and making goofy noises. I think it can take the form of various loved ones and uses that power to knock off cute ladies in a large group of friends. The police are pretty damn useless and the monster stumbles around like his dick is about to fall off. There’s a love story going on between two homely folks and a few songs creep in between the wandering ghoul and aerobic sessions. This movie is like going to bed with a slight fever and waking up in another dimension. Music put together by some alien being who has no interest in Earth sounds and edited together by said alien’s cousin who has even less interest in sensical structuring. It’s incredibly easy to get lost in this one and I’m pretty damn thankful. A bearded magic man shows up as shit falls apart and the goofy-ass creature gets a haircut halfway through the runtime. There’s about as much skin as a flick from this region of the world will allow and the film comes to a dead stop near the end to focus on the relationship troubles of our two main characters. On top of that we get a blue jeans fashion show, a dance party and copyrighted music that I highly doubt was paid for. One wild, wild time.
