Two idiot teenage boys (I guess I didn’t need to tell you they were idiots) break into an old mortuary because boredom and stupidity are a very dangerous mix. Their night of thrills involving getting a look at the corpse of some dude they know hits a hiccup when a former teacher (Michael fuckin’ Ironside) reveals himself to be amongst the undead and is more than happy to mutilate and feed on his former students. Both boys get infected with the vampire virus and the main dope has a rough transformation at home, putting his mom (Lynda Boyd!) and sister in danger. Turns out their old teacher is a major creep and he’s now building an army (well, small clan) of the undead, it’s gonna be up to those new teen vamps to put a stop to him. Ironside is having fun being an absolute shit but the Mick Garris script ain’t all that interesting and lets down the capable directorial ability of Ernest Dickerson. Ironside makes it worth a watch.
