Jealousy causes the casting of a spell which curses generations of an innocent family. Adnan and Hicran are a happy young couple with a little boy named Birol. On Birol’s birthday, while his mother is in the kitchen talking to his father on the phone, a giant cabinet falls and crushes the annoying little shit to death. Following the squishy end of their son, Hicran is a wreck and her husband shifts between extreme grief and bouts of rage (he blames her). When she begins to see strange black-garbed creeps roaming around her house and having horrific visions, Hicran visits a holy man to get to the bottom of things. After an odd ritual involving an albino kid and a reflecting pool, the holy man fills her in on what the hell is going on. Seems that sometime in the recent past some spiteful family member cast the dreaded “41 stitch spell” on someone else in the family and now it’s fucking with the poor girl. She’s gonna have to do some investigating to get some answers and it seems like her aunt, who was murdered along with her daughters by her husband, may be a good place to start. She goes to visit her mom and grandmother to start digging and she’s about to uncover a whole barrel of secrets and backstabbing. This is one misery-laced horror story with a focus on dead kids and effective bursts of graphic violence. It drags on a bit in some parts but, as a whole, if you like your ghost stories miserable, ya probably don’t want to miss this one.
